Converting your investment in FIC shares or Promissory Notes into Land

Four FIC company properties are currently going through a foreclosure action by a mortgage holder. The Property For Sale: Fully developed residential building lots in the Southbridge Crossing Development in Calmar, Alberta. Purchaser will own title to the property.

You will recall, from our previous communication, that the oil industry is forecasting a new round of activity in the oil sands of Alberta. How the special financing works:

Calmar Lakeside Developments Ltd. (“Calmar”) is offering to purchase your FIC Shares or Promissory Notes at Your Original Cost and allow you to pay up to 25% of the purchase price by selling your existing shares in one or more of the following Clubs:

  • a. FIC Investment USA
  • b. FIC Investment
  • c. FIC South East Asia Fund
  • d. FIC Real Estate Fund
  • e. China Dragon Fund
  • f. FIC Foreclosure Fund
  • Note: Unfortunately, due to BC Securities Commission rules, Calmar is not able to purchase shares of WBIC Canada Ltd. Shares of this company are subject to a cease trade order.

    Example

    If you purchase a lot with an appraised value of $100,000, you would pay only $75,000 in cash. The balance of the payment would be covered by the sale of $25,000 worth of shares. If those shares were FIC Canada shares that you had paid $2.70 for, you would sell 9,259 shares as part of the financing.

    DEADLINES: There are only 91 lots available and over 4,000 members will get this offer. So act quickly. When the 91 are gone, the offer will end. Also, time is of the essence for avoiding the foreclosure. So, Expressions of Interest will be cut off after OCTOBER 10, 2009.
